PTSD
What is PTSD?
PTSD stands for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. It is a mental health condition that can develop in people who have experienced or witnessed:
A traumatic event, such as a natural disaster, combat, sexual or physical assault, or a serious accident. People with PTSD may experience symptoms such as:
Flashbacks!
Nightmares!
Intrusive thoughts!
Avoidance of reminders of the traumatic event!
Hypervigilance!
Emotional numbness!
These symptoms can be severe and persistent and can interfere with a person’s daily life and functioning. HOWEVER! PTSD is a treatable condition! Things that have happened in the past are now images in the mind with a negative emotion linked to it. Using Self-Care Focused Therapy we can take those emotions away leaving just an image that no longer causes you pain. This will allow you to focus on your future and what’s important NOW!
Before going into hypnotherapy I was very apprehensive, I suffered with quite severe PTSD which lead to addiction. I had been down every route possible (medication, therapy, CBT) and none of them worked I kept finding myself stuck at in the same place, I had 2 sessions with Chris and after the second session it was like I was a completely different person, it lifted a huge weight off my shoulders and it completely changed my mindset and I had beat my addiction within a few days of the first session. It almost sounds too good to be true but it’s not. My only regret is not going down the hypnotherapy route years ago. And as for Chris, he always made me feel extremely comfortable and always made it very clear that I only had to share what I wanted to share, all I can say is if you suffer with PTSD then Chris is the guy you need to see, he has also suffered with PTSD so he understands what you’re going through unlike any therapist you will see. Today I had my third session and I had improved that drastically from my first session to the point where we could just have a conversation, I could openly talk about things that I couldn’t even bring myself to mention without breaking down into tears on our first session . It’s a very unique experience but if you suffer with PTSD then this is 100% the way to go and I believe chris is the best option, I know how hard it is to suffer with PTSD and I believe hypnotherapy is the only way to make yourself feel better. Thank you so much Chris, you have changed my life in the matter of weeks.
